- British monarch
- Elizabeth II → Charles III, from 8 September 2022. When GTA V came out, Britain had a queen.
- Pope
- Francis → Leo XIV (elected 8 May 2025). Benedict XVI, pope emeritus, died on 31 December 2022. Francis was elected before GTA V, in March 2013.
- Generative AI
- Not a household tool in 2013. AlphaGo won in 2016; ChatGPT opened in 2022 and passed 700 million weekly users by July 2025.
